CREATE SE4AI and the Applied AI Institute are excited to launch year two of the Gender Equity Mentoring in AI (GEMinAI) program! Join us for a dynamic networking event celebrating gender diverse AI professionals and students. Students will have an opportunity to meet one another as well as mentors participating in the program, exploring key themes related to gender and A.I.

This event will kick off a mentoring period of approximately 6 months during which mentors and mentees will meet for 4-6 sessions. General structure and discussion topics will be provided to guide the sessions!

Join us for the first CREATE SE4AI Trainee Talks of the fall 2024 semester! In this edition, Master's candidate Lin Ling will present her work titled "Bias Unveiled: Investigating Social Bias in LLM-Generated Code".

Immediately following, Junjie Li, Doctoral candidate, will share his research on "An Exploratory Study on Fine-Tuning Large Language Models for Secure Code Generation". Both students are supervised by Prof. Jinqiu Yang at Concordia University. Each trainee will talk for 20 mins, followed by a 10 min Q&A session.

For the first time, this event will be offered both in-person and online. Local (Montreal) students are encouraged to join in person in Room ER-1222. Please arrive a few minutes before 10:00 so we can start on time.
